Illustrators Illustrating Illustrations

Ever since I decided my stories lacked something, I've come up with the idea of putting in a few illustrations. Unfortunately, I am not gifted in the art of colours and figures and faces and clothes. Thankfully, I know two pals who are capable of drawing detailed images for my book! Their names are Lauren and Analeia.

Here's an introduction about the two people who I have been working with.

Lauren, who I've known since Freshman Year, has always created such beautiful pieces, where she'd end up sharing on social media. I saw portraits she had done, as well as backgrounds she painted, and I knew that she was the person I needed on board for the illustrations. When I slammed open her door to ask for her help (as well as clementines she had laying around), she blinked at me, thought about it, and then uttered a: ...sure. Because she was so willing, I almost cried tears of joy.

Analeia, who I've also known since Freshman Year, is known as the quiet, talented artist who spends a great deal of her time drawing in her room. She posts her drawings online, too, and when I first saw the characters she had drawn, I was amazed at her style. The figures looked cartoon, yet felt very realistic. How did she do it? Wasting no time, I rushed into her room to ask for her help. She gave the same response as Lauren, and it was done. My two illustrators had been chosen.

Interestingly, Lauren and Analeia have two vastly different styles of art. Lauren focused more on reality, while Analeia was swoon into the land of cartoons. But together, we decided to combine both styles, bringing out the best in both artists.
