Today was the day I saw the illustrations, and they were everything I had hoped them to be. As soon as I saw them, all the characters immediately connected to their stories, and the visions I had while writing these stories clicked.

When I first thought of the idea to write a novel for my signature project, many of my friends stared at me. They thought it would be impossible for me to juggle such a big project with college applications and school work. They were right. I did struggle, which was why I changed my project into writing short stories. But as soon as I started writing the first story, I could feel that there was something missing. The words didn't convey the images in my head of all the different plot points and feelings, and I knew that I had to express them.

In other words, these illustrations saved my project. Even though I had the illustrators do only 7 of them (including the cover picture), they were enough to be shared with my readers. They were enough to help them see what I saw as my fingers typed out each word.

Now that the illustrations are complete, all there is left for me to do is to finish revising the stories, and then proceed in putting them together, creating the book that holds everything together.

I just can't wait to present my final product.
